Basics
Super Seymour is a multi level game where the object is to jump around the screen collecting various toxic objects of waste (dustbins, oil drums and aerosols) in the correct order while avoiding and/or destroying the mutants that are attempting to stop him. Once the screen has been cleared of waste, it’s on to the next!
Controls
To move Super Seymour around the screen press left and right. To jump, press the jump button. To use Seymour’s super powers, press fire. Seymour can also flap his arms to temporarily hover by tapping the jump button. In addition, he can fly up and down by pressing and holding jump while moving him up and down.
Super Powers
Seymour can gain a variety of super powers by picking up powerups. These include a Super Blow to expel lungs full of air that can send the mutants flying, a Super Jump to wallop bad guys with a kick on the head, Super Spit that shoots out a stream of seeds from collected fruit, the Super Snare (a magic lasso the will temporarily trap mutants), Super Sprint for extra speed and Super Leaper which does about what you'd expect.
Tip: Know Thy Enemy
Get to know Seymour’s mutant enemies, as each kind will move about and attack in different patterns and must be eliminated in different ways. The Podge floats around and self-destructs if Seymour gets too close, while the Boing jumps around from platform to platform and will kill Seymour on contact. There are seven in total.
Tip: Keep Hopping
Eliminating most enemies requires Seymour to jump on their heads. Once they have been smashed under Seymour’s hefty weight, you must still bump them off the screen by jumping on them a second time.
Tip: Cleanup Time
While it’s not necessary for progressing to the next screen, collecting the toxic waste in order (by grabbing the flashing ones in succession) will award you with extra bonus points.
