Controls
Your mission is simple enough -- find the enemy and riddle him with bullets. Your reward is the undying admiration of your countrymen and 300 points per plane. Using yoke-style controls (up is down and down is up), players maneuver through mountainous terrain while pressing the fire button to shoot down enemy biplanes and zeppelins.
Enemies
But the bogeys are just as eager to knock you out of the sky. Enemy biplanes use spitfire machine guns similar to your own while the surprisingly agile zeppelins fire deadly rockets. And, don’t sit on the trigger for too long -- your guns will overheat and leave you defenseless in the darkened sky!
Enemy Bases
You’ll take fire from both air and land. Enemy bases are strategically placed on the tops of mountains or are sheltered deep in valleys. Don’t worry about flying too low because crashing into the ground is not possible -- unless you have been wounded by enemy fire -- but hitting the mountains is deadly to your biplane.
Tip: Formations
You can grab up to 300 points per plane if you are quick enough to shoot them down before their groups of three break from formation.
Tip: Lead The Target
When firing at an enemy, lead your target -- shoot where your target is GOING to be, not where they are.
Tip: Defense
If you’re in danger of getting hit, take evasive action! There’s an infinite supply of enemies and a limited supply of lives. The exception to this rule is with enemy planes. If you do not destroy an enemy plane, it will get behind for an easy kill.
Tip: Evasion
If an enemy plane does get behind you, either climb or dive while turning hard. If you’re lucky, your opponent will miss and fly past you.
Tip: Fly High
Planes and blimps are more likely to appear if you hang out at high altitudes.
