Cross-Country Stages
The objective of the cross-country section is to get through the flags, cross the finish line and beat the clock. The controls here are fairly similar, but with the different view require some practice; use left and right to move in those directions, up to accelerate and down to brake.
Skatepark Stages
Use the left, right, up and down keys to select number of players and lives, then press fire to start. The first level to master is a skatepark where you’re racing against the clock counting down in the top left corner of the screen. The goal here is to collect however many flags are shown in the top right. Pushing left and right skates those directions, up pushes your board and down puts on the proverbial brakes. The fire button ollies (jumps) -- use this to hurdle over puddles, fences and rough spots.
Bailing
Skating ain’t easy. If you bail off your board, wait for the pointer to come up, move it to where you want to restart and press the fire button. From here on, it’s up to you.
Tip: Take Your Time
Take it easy when cruising through the skatepark, there is plenty of time. Be sure and use your brake and line up where you want to go. Another trick to use is pressing back to spin 180 degrees when stopped.
Tip: Continue
As you progress in the game you will be able to continue from where you left off. The next time you play, select the start from last level on the main menu.
