Special Balloons
Each player's array will have many special balloons which can help you out of a pinch. If you make a pattern of like-colored balloons including a special, all balloons of that color will disappear from your play area. Whenever you pop more than one pattern at a time, those balloons are added to your opponent's array, so the special balloons can be devastating when used correctly.
Basics
Magical Drop II can be played by one or two players. Single player games include the story mode, in which you will compete against the computer AI in a series of puzzle-solving missions, and the "endless puzzle," where your only opponent is the clock -- you can play as long as you keep those balloons at bay. Two player games allow two human opponents to play against one another.
Controls
Maneuver your character left and right on your playfield as the colored balloons descend from the ceiling. To score, pull balloons from the array above and then throw them back into play to form like-colored columns of three or more. These balloons will pop, and any balloons below them will move upwards. You can carry as many balloons of the same color as you like, but you cannot mix colors. The match ends when either player's balloons get all the way to the bottom of the play area.
Tip: Special Balloons
Try to match like colors with special balloons, like an arrow balloon -- if you assemble a big enough chain, you can pop nearly everything on the screen.
Tip: On The Attack
The more balloons you pop, the more appear on your opponent's side. Work fast!
Tip: Bosses
In single-player Magical Drop II, you'll occasionally face bosses that you must defeat in order to proceed. These guys have powers far greater than your regular opponents, so be ready!
