Basics
Like its predecessor, Grand Prix Simulator 2 is a top-down racing game in which careful acceleration and control of the curves is the only way to dominate. Tap the Space Bar to start the game. Steer your car by pushing left and right. Accelerate by pressing fire. Hit X to quit and R to view a replay of your race after you finish.
Laps
Races have varying numbers of laps, so you need to watch the lap counter that appears on your screen. In addition to racing against a grid of competitors, you also are competing against the clock. Every time you finish a race, the time remaining will be carried over into the next race.
Tip: Watch Your Time
You receive very little time to finish the last few races, so doing well early in the game gives you an advantage later on. Extra time to finish also gives you an edge over your opponents.
Tip: Braking
Unlike the first game, you can brake in Grand Prix Simulator 2. You need to make sure you do this! If you just accelerate all the time, you'll never stop crashing.
Tip: Minimize Damage
Crashing damages your car, but hurts you more by shaving seconds off of your finish time. Practice each course until you can finish it without crashing.
