Basics
Each level in Dragon Fire is split into two screens. On the first screen, you have to make your way from the tower on the right to the castle entrance on the left as a dragon sends an endless barrage of fireballs your way. Push down to duck the high fireballs, and the action button to jump the low ones. If things get a bit too hot, you can always attempt to run back to the tower on your right, where you’ll be safe and be allowed a quick breather.
Goal
Once you’ve entered the castle, you need to pick up all the treasure lying around while avoiding the dragon roaming the bottom of the screen. As you dash for the gold, your serpentine adversary will start spitting more fireballs at you. If you need a rest, head back into the doorway on the bottom right of the screen. Once you’ve collected all the treasure in the room, an exit will appear on the upper-left corner of the screen. Go through it to start the next level.
Tip: Drawbridge
On the drawbridge screen, be careful as you approach the castle. The fireballs offer no warning. Cross the bridge as fast as you can!
Tip: Take Cover!
You are safe from the dragon's fire if you stand in the tower to the right of the bridge. Know when to beat a hasty retreat and duck for cover.
Tip: Give Him Room
Hanging out at the top of the treasure room gives you more time to dodge the dragon's fireballs. Keep on the move and work quickly.
Tip: Improbable Acrobatics
When crossing the bridge, remember that you can duck and jump at the same time.
