Goals
Alpha Mission II is a very straightforward game. Shoot down as many enemies as you can during each mission, eventually reaching and -- hopefully -- destroying a massive boss ship at the end of each level. Grab power-ups and money along the way, the latter of which can be used to upgrade your weapons and ships on the shop screen following the end of each mission.
Controls
Upon starting the game, you can choose one of two control types. Press the directional buttons to fly around the screen. Press the fire button to shoot straight ahead at airborne enemies. Press the missile button to drop missiles onto the ground and the special button for an "Armor Attack". Press the Menu button to bring up the on-screen menu.
Tip: Powerups
Shooting any power-up will not only knock it up the screen a bit (giving you more time to collect it) but change the letter on it as well, which changes the affect after you pick it up. Avoid pickups with upside-down letters, as those will actually decrease your current power.
Tip: Rapid Fire
Holding the fire button will create a constant stream of fire, but you can shoot at a higher rate by tapping the fire button quickly.
